Pechauer Pechauer Naked Break Cue Stick with Black Ice Shaft upgrade

A Black Ice-stained Curly Maple lightweight break cue for extra speed. Upgrading to the Black Ice shaft adds weight to the shaft, giving it forward weight while maintaining a lighter weight cue than the standard Pechauer Break Cue.

The Black Ice Shaft is made from a solid piece of hard rock maple (same as the rest of our shafts). Because it’s real wood, it has grain and other markings including mineral and sugar marks. The Black Ice shaft goes through a dying process that forces jet black dye into the pores of the wood going all the way through. As maple is such a hard and dense wood, the dye finishes a darker gray color.

In the picture you see some of the grain turns darker and some spots where the dye can’t penetrate as well, show as thin white lines. None of these marks are defects; they are just the character of the wood coming through!

With our Infused Chemical Engineering (ICE) Technology, chemicals are infused into the cells of the wood, changing its structure for added density and a smooth, glass-like feel for less friction and increased velocity. This multi-step process is not a barrier, but a permanent treatment that penetrates the entire shaft. Average shaft weight of 6.4 oz  (approximately 2 ounces more than a standard shaft) for a weight-forward balance delivery. This means more power with less effort for a maximum break (helps make any cue a break cue).
